Everyone should have access to food, health services, educational opportunities, and other activities that help us to live healthy and abundant lives physically, emotionally and spiritually. To advance people's ability to live out lives of abundance we offer:

Ongoing Activities
Community Meals - 11:00 am - 
Second Sunday every month
Join us for a free lunch with healthy food. 

Food Pantry - 
9:30 AM to 12:15 PM - Tuesday to Friday
Whittier Neighborhood residents are eligible to receive free groceries. No appointment is required. (This is the one activity limited to Whittier residents only.)


Seasonal Activities
Produce Fairs - 1:00 to 2:30 PM - Last Saturday of the month in the summer

Come and pick up a free bag of fresh produce, enjoy live music, get a free health screening, and other activities.

Other Activities of Interest

Worship Service - 10:30 AM - Every Sunday

Services are generally in English. Simpson Church holds bilingual (Spanish and English) worship services from time to time. 

Worship services in Spanish are held the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 1:00 p.m.. Visit www.say-orale.org for more information in English. 


Immigration Vigils 
We held our 9th vigil on October 17, 2014. Stay-tuned for upcoming vigils and other immigration activities!

Classes and Training

Guitar - Saturdays 
Classes resume Spring 2017. To register or for more information contact Marianela at (612) 222-1208. 

Classes are in groups of 6 or less students, generally, for 45 minutes. Classes are held Saturday afternoons between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. in the fall and spring. Pre-registration is required. The instructors will place students in beginning, intermediate or advanced levels. 

The 2016-2017 class schedule is: 
     Fall 2016:  September 10 - December 10
     Winter Recital: December 10, 2016, 4:00 PM
    
Spring 2017: February 25 - May 20 
     
Spring Recital: May 20, 2017, 4:00 PM
  
Space is limited. Call to register: 612-222-1208. Taught in English and Spanish. Student must provide own guitar. A $30.00 donation is requested per semester per student ($50.00 cap per family-except when new books are distributed) to help cover costs.
